Program Overview
"The best way to understand technology is to build it from scratch."
In our Engineering track, students don't just learn abstract concepts; they become inventors. Using the industry-standard Arduino microcontroller, students learn to read schematics, wire circuit boards, and write custom C/C++ code to bring their hardware to life. Every lesson is anchored by a tangible project, turning complex electronics and robotics into an exciting, step-by-step journey of discovery.
Core Learning Pillars
-
Circuit Fundamentals:
Understanding voltage, current, resistance, and how components like resistors, LEDs, and capacitors interact.
-
Microcontroller Programming:
Writing clean, logical code to read data from sensors and control physical outputs like motors and displays.
-
Robotics & Automation:
Integrating smart components—like ultrasonic distance sensors and servo motors, to build responsive, autonomous systems.
The 3-Tier Project Journey
To give parents and students a clear view of their progression, we can break the curriculum down into distinct skill levels:
-
Tier 1: Foundations
- Focus
- Introduction to breadboards, basic components, and simple code logic.
- Highlight Project
- The Smart Traffic Light: Programming interactive LED sequences using button inputs.
-
Tier 2: Sensors & Sound
- Focus
- Interfacing with the environment. Reading analog/digital sensors and controlling displays.
- Highlight Project
- Digital Theremin / Security Alarm: Utilizing ultrasonic sensors to trigger dynamic sound and visual alerts.
-
Tier 3: Robotics & Automation
- Focus
- Motor control, logic integration, and building autonomous hardware.
- Highlight Project
- The Autonomous Line-Follower Car: Engineering a vehicle that reads data in real time to navigate a track.
Skills Acquired
By the end of this program, students will master:
-
Hardware troubleshooting and schematic reading.
-
Text-based programming concepts (variables, loops, conditionals, functions).
-
Critical thinking, spatial reasoning, and engineering design cycles.
